I was compelled to study for a profession, mainly to satisfy the demands of my family, and I had NO courage to say NO. I was successful in my professional life, but I still want to write about my experiences, including the anger I still have against persons who never gave me a chance to be what I wanted to be. Will it be of any purpose? I have written how I want the beginning to be, as also the end, and some matters in between. Should I do so.

Hey Frank, great point! Rejection is definitely a confidence crusher, as you say. I think it’s important for many writers to recognize that journals and publishers reject works they like all the time – with so few resources to publish new books and issues, great literature struggles to find a seat at the table.
